Quantum Software Stack Overview
A quantum software stack is a layered system: learning content, language, compiler, runtime, simulator, cloud access, hardware backend, and validation all have to agree on the same contract.
Core concept
The stack should separate concerns. The language describes intent, the compiler lowers that intent into executable circuits, the runtime chooses simulator or hardware targets, and the product layer explains results to humans. Clean boundaries make experiments reproducible and make failures easier to diagnose.
Practice task
Draw the path of one N/M program from editor to result: source code, parser, diagnostics, circuit artifact, simulator or backend job, measurements, assertions, and exportable learning/package metadata.
