Quantum cryptography is about two different security stories: using quantum physics to detect eavesdropping, and preparing classical systems for quantum attackers.
Core concept
QKD and post-quantum cryptography solve different problems. QKD distributes keys over quantum channels with disturbance detection; post-quantum cryptography replaces vulnerable public-key algorithms in ordinary digital infrastructure. A mature security plan knows when each applies.
Practice task
Write a two-column map: QKD use cases on one side, post-quantum migration use cases on the other.
